And sometimes your absence is like that touch
which leaves me shivering in its memory;
the magic of which dissolves in my blood and will keep me alive.

And sometimes your absence is like that innocent kiss
too strong to forget in the lips of lovers;
too young to be lost in oblivion

And sometimes your absence is like that ink
which reveals the soul in words crying loud on the sheet;
indelible, and I am stained for life.

And sometimes your absence is like that exquisite pain
gnawing deep, baring my naked soul
only to caress the cuts with the infinite love that is hiding within.
